The weather in the Pacific Northwest is very damp. We strongly recommend that you bring comfortable clothes that you can layer, warm socks, waterproof foot gear and rain gear. We suggest you bring slippers as street shoes are not allowed in any of the residential houses or the meeting rooms. We also suggest that you bring comfortable walking shoes and a flashlight. Also don't forget to bring a calling card if you plan on making anything other than local calls.
In consideration of all participants, do not wear scented personal care products to Still Meadow (including "natural" products). Please Be Fragrance Free In an effort to be inclusive, practice mindfulness, and compassion, we at Still Meadow ask that all participants please refrain from wearing scented products. An increasing number of people have allergies, asthma or other chemical sensitivity to a variety of common chemicals and fragrances. Many have difficulty breathing, suffer from headaches and migraines, or experience flu-like symptoms. These individuals often find themselves faced with the choice to stay in a fragrance rich environment and get sick or leave and be excluded. We are working to create environments where the most-impacted individuals can still benefit from the events and your participation in being fragrance free can help. How to be fragrance-free
- Avoid cologne, aftershave and perfume;
- Avoid strong-smelling hair products;
- Wear clothes laundered in fragrance-free laundry detergent;
- Avoid laundry softeners;
- Use fragrance-free soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner;
- Avoid use of essential oils
Please contact our Event Staff know and we will discuss your needs.
